Introducing the Neon Three

Who are we?

Hi and welcome to Neon Three! We are an innovative multimedia design studio based in rainy, hot, sunny, cold Melbourne, Australia. Our story begins in the humble little capital, Canberra. Toby and I (Scott) have been friends since kindergarten and having gained some experience throughout our school years we decided to try our hand at design, enrolling at the Canberra Institute of Technology in 2008. Here, we met Matt and have been working as a team of three ever since. Our first two years spent learning the design craft had us realise that we have a highly synchronised workflow which enables us to freely bounce ideas off one another. After receiving our diplomas, we all agreed to move to Melbourne and chase our design dream – landing us at Swinburne University of Technology.

In 2010 we uprooted and made our way south to Melbourne. While at Swinburne, we studied under some of the best design minds Melbourne has to offer, opening our eyes to how much potential the multimedia design field has. Upon completing our degree in 2010, we found our thirst for knowledge just wasn’t satisfied and there was still far too much to learn. As a team we decided to embark on an honours year to hone our skills and further our expertise. Honours year had us work with some inspirational Swinburne lecturers, develop our skills and gain valuable industry experience. With honours now completed, we want to retain creative control and select the projects that we work on. Out of the desire to chase our dream and affect change, Neon Three is born.

What do we do?

Neon Three is a small innovative multimedia studio specialising in, but not limited to, Web and Mobile development. We look specifically for challenging interpretive briefs that require complex thinking and problem solving. We like the idea of custom digital pieces aiding, or even solving, real problems. We embrace the challenge and will work with you to achieve great things on mobile and web platforms. Here at Neon Three, we are only interested in producing high quality custom digital pieces for our clients and their users. Our design combines beautiful form with flawless function, and we are passionate about making sure the details are pixel perfect.

What can you can expect from the Neon Three blog? This is our shiny, brand new blog where we will post Design, News, our New releases and How-to’s under those four categories. The Neon Three blog is our way of giving something back to the internet that has given so much to us. We invite everyone to come and share their thoughts, ideas and constructive criticisms regarding the design world. We are excited about our new beginning and look forward to sharing with you all.
